Art should be seen and appreciated by the public. The goal of the Monthly Art Rotation program is to make our community more interesting and unique. Original artwork is rotated monthly in your business location in Köln, Bonn or Düsseldorf. The artwork selected for your location depends on your customers, type of business, brand, decor, wall space and lighting. The number of pieces hung or installed in your space each month depends on the size of both the artwork and walls. Numbers usually range from 6 to 12 pieces.

Installation

•All art is hung for one month and then replaced by new art at the next monthly installation.

•You determine the best day/evenings each month the art should be installed. I will deliver and install the artwork at the specified time. Once the artwork is hung, it may not be rearranged.

•Some walls, for example concrete walls, pose an installation challenge. In this case, I will research an appropriate art hanging system and present options and costs for your approval. You are responsible for the cost of your art hanging system, if one is necessary for your location. The system belongs to you, although I am responsible for installing it. If you cancel the Monthly Art Rotation, you are responsible for removing the art hanging system, or you may choose to keep it since it belongs to you.

Fee

Basic monthly fee for up to 12 pieces. If your space is quite large, requiring more than 12 pieces, a custom quote for the monthly fee will be provided. You may choose to be invoiced monthly, quarterly or annually. A commitment of 3 months is suggested. You may cancel at any time, the artwork will be removed at the end of your final month.

Commission

You will receive a 10% commission of the sale price (minus sales tax) for each piece of art that is sold while hung in your space. Commission payments are made quarterly; Monthly Art Rotation fees will be deducted from the quarterly commission payment.

Managing the sale of the artwork

A piece card containing the name of the artist, title of work, medium, price and my contact information will be hung next to each piece of art. Detailed information (auf Deutsch) about the artist will be framed and hung with the artwork. My business cards will be placed somewhere convenient for your customers. The goal is to make it clear that you and your staff are not responsible for answering questions or selling the artwork.

If you wish, the artist information along with your address and installation dates will be listed on this website. JPG’s will be provided if you wish to place the artist information on your website.

Vernissage

You are welcome to host a vernissage. The artist should be invited and have the opportunity to invite a limited number of their clients. Artists are not obligated to attend their vernissage. You are responsible for all aspects of the vernissage including all of the related costs, i.e. food, wine, invitations.
